Okay so, I finally got mad that I can't use MyPaint (won't open even if I re-install and all that fun stuff) and downloaded an older
version...and it works! So to test out this old version I colored a year
old sketch of an African girl using MyPaint (v 0.9.5?) and GIMP 2.8.
In the sketch it was fast drawn (a doodle really but I liked it) but in coloring I tried to keep the fluidity of the pose and the weight of her hat falling to one side. I think it came out pretty good...! The brick wall I thought fit with African/Middle Eastern villages building structures and it seems to add texture.
So yeah, without any further ado, enjoy!
